Georgian Minister of Internal Affairs Geka Geladze, who is on an official visit to Turkey, accompanied by a delegation, met Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey, Ali Yerlikaya, in Istanbul, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), during the bilateral meeting, the two ministers reviewed prospects for partnership deepening and priority trends for cooperation.
Ali Yerlikaya once again thanked his Georgian counterpart for the efforts made during the Turkish Air Force cargo plane crash in Georgia, as well as for the rapid and effective cooperation.
The Ministers stressed the significance of sharing experience and best practices in the law enforcement sphere, expressing hope that through joint efforts, the existing partnership between the law enforcement agencies of Georgia and Turkey would further develop in the future.
At the end of the meeting, Geka Geladze thanked his Turkish colleague for the invitation and cordial hospitality, the MIA said.
