Armenia has requested the EU's assistance in combating “malign influence” ahead of the 2026 general elections, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, stated.
“Armenia has elections coming, and what can we do to help them? They have asked similar help to fight the malign influence, like we granted to Moldova,” Kallas said ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
Earlier in December, Kallas announced €15 million support for Armenia to strengthen peace and resilience. She said the EU supports Armenia in fighting the challenges in the information domain as well.
