Volodymyr Zelensky says they are awaiting signals from the U.S. delegation following talks in Russia.
Volodymyr Zelensky stated that they are waiting for signals from the U.S. delegation after negotiations held in Russia.
“Our subsequent steps depend on them. If everything goes well, it is possible that we will meet with the U.S. delegation very soon,” the Ukrainian President emphasized. According to him, if they understand that there is an opportunity to make global and swift decisions, then the negotiations will take place at a high level.
“We support Washington’s position that the bloodshed must stop. However, it is necessary to guarantee that Russia will not invade again a year from now,” Zelensky continued.
The Ukrainian President added that he understands that there will be no easy solutions, but nothing can be decided without Kyiv. He also acknowledged that the most problematic issues at the moment are territories and security guarantees.
Zelensky expressed concern that Moscow will continue seeking new pretexts to wage war and called on Washington to exert pressure on the Russian side.
