Russia's President Vladimir Putin will meet with the US President's special envoy Steven Witkoff next week.
"In the first half of the week. We will announce the date in due course," said press secretary Dmitry Peskov.
A day earlier, Vladimir Putin announced that Witkoff would come to Moscow at the request of US President Donald Trump.
According to Russian President's advisor Yuri Ushakov, several administration officials dealing with Ukrainian affairs will arrive with the special envoy.
Meanwhile, it became clear that Ukraine's First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kislytsia and Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov will be part of the delegation that will visit the United States to discuss the American plan for mi. Bloomberg reported the news, citing its sources.
According to them, Umerov and Kislytsia will meet in Florida with US President's envoy Steven Witkoff and US President's son-in-law Jared Kushner. The agency notes that the Ukrainian delegation's trip comes at a difficult time for Kyiv, as “Volodymyr Zelensky faces growing pressure in the country due to a corruption scandal“, and his “closest ally and top aide“ Andriy Yermak has resigned.
