At the extraordinary session convened on November 28, the National Assembly adopted the draft law ''On Ratifying the Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union on Establishing the Framework for the Participation of the Republic of Armenia in the European Union Crisis Management Operations'.
The agreement was signed on June 30, 2025. By ratifying it, Armenia and the EU will define the general conditions for Armenia’s participation in EU crisis management operations.
Addressing the question of how Armenia will participate in this or that EU mission, Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan clarified that there is a formal procedure according to which the EU sends an invitation, and Armenia considers the possibility of participating in each mission and either declines or accepts it.
It should be noted that the 'Civil Contract' faction voted in favor of the draft, while the 'Armenia' ('Hayastan') and 'I Have Honor' factions abstained.
