U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Monday that progress in Ukraine’s peace negotiations is possible. At the same time, he urged people “not to believe it until they see it with their own eyes.”
“Is it possible that significant progress is being made in peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine? Something good may be happening, but don’t believe it until you see it with your own eyes,” the White House leader wrote on the social network TruthSocial.
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said during a briefing that there are still no details regarding a potential U.S.–Russia meeting related to the Ukrainian peace process.
He noted that no meeting is planned for this week, while reminding of President Putin’s affirmation that Moscow remains open to such contacts and negotiations.
