Now the European Union (EU) countries, which are dissatisfied with the US plan to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, are preparing a counter-proposal. This was reported on November 20 by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing sources.
Earlier that day, the Axios portal reported that the United States had submitted to Ukraine an additional agreement on security guarantees based on the model of the fifth article of NATO on collective defense.
On November 19, NBC News announced a new plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, which includes 28 points. Among them are the reduction of the size of the Ukrainian army and the volume of military assistance to Kiev, the granting of the state status to the Russian language, as well as the recognition of Donbass and Crimea as part of Russia.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on November 21 that the Russian side had not received any statements at the moment about Ukraine's consent to negotiate a peaceful settlement plan proposed by American leader Donald Trump.
