Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met her Armenian counterpart Gevorg Papoyan, who arrived in Georgia accompanying the President of Armenia and his delegation.
Mariam Kvrivishvili emphasized the significance of the meeting between the Georgian and Armenian Presidents during which trade-economic ties were accentuated.
“During the meeting with the Armenian Economy Minister, we spoke about the significance of peace in the region for the two countries to continue sustainable and stable economic development. We reviewed ongoing projects and new initiatives that will further strengthen Georgia-Armenia trade-economic relations.
The special focus was made on the intensification of cooperation in transport, logistics, bilateral trade, tourism and investment spheres,” stated Mariam Kvrivishvili, adding she was “convinced” that Georgia and Armenia would ensure growth of economic activities “through joint efforts ” and based on the strategic cooperation.
Deputy Economy Minister Tamar Ioseliani and Director General of Georgian Railways Lasha Abashidze attended the meeting.
