Tourism Committee President Lusine Gevorgyan met with Ambassador of Uruguay to Armenia Silvana Lesca Barolin.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for deepening cooperation in the tourism sector, presenting current programs and developments in the industry, the Tourism Committee said in a press release.
Gevorgyan and the Ambassador addressed the promotion of tourism potential in both countries and raising awareness of marketing initiatives, as well as establishing connections between the tourism agencies of Armenia and Uruguay. This includes organizing online webinars, exploring opportunities for expanding long-term cooperation in the tourism sector, and highlighting the need for direct flights between the two countries, which is crucial for increasing tourist flows.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of continuing and strengthening cooperation.
