How will the TRIPP Road company operate on the land, or what will it receive when dealing with land? It will receive what is already provided by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia. Armenian legislation provides for an institution called the right to development (construction right), which has been applied dozens of times in Armenia until now. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this during a conference on regional cooperation.
“What does this mean? It means that through certain legal procedures, a specific company receives a land area for the purpose of carrying out development on that land and obtaining profit.
The peculiarity of this institution is that after the expiration of the term of the construction right, the property located on the land becomes the property of the Republic of Armenia. This is a very important nuance. But the land always remains the property of the Republic of Armenia. In other words, what we provide under the construction right—the land—has been, is, and always remains, before, during, and after that period, the property of the Republic of Armenia. And as I already said, for any activity of any state body, no restrictions are applied there beyond what is defined by the Constitution and legislation of the Republic of Armenia,” he said.
