On October 13, Ambassador Tigran Balayan met with the Chair of the EU Military Committee, General Seán Clancy. During the meeting, the Ambassador introduced the newly appointed military attaché to the EU mission of Armenia, Colonel Vardan Hovakimyan.
Ambassador Balayan emphasized that the accreditation of Armenia’s first military attaché reflects the deepening partnership with the EU, highlighting its growing scope in the defense and security sectors.
During the discussion, they addressed opportunities for developing cooperation in the defense sector, highlighting Armenia’s readiness to participate in EU missions aimed at strengthening regional and global security, as well as contributing to stability and the maintenance of peace.
