Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan attended the official opening ceremony of the Business Accelerator building in Engineering City.
He toured the building, got acquainted with the work carried out, and observed the created conditions, his office has said in a readout.
“It was reported that 810.4 million drams were spent in 2024 on the construction of the building and parking lots, the improvement of the territory, as well as the purchase of equipment and furniture. As of October 2, 2025 it reached 1.2 billion drams . The funds were allocated from the state budget of Armenia,” the statement reads.
Pashinyan also visited the Charles Aznavour National Supercomputer Center of Armenia.
The Prime Minister got acquainted with the works and samples presented at the Armenia-Engineering Week exhibition, as well as the activities of the PMI Science engineering laboratories.
Later, the Prime Minister met with representatives of the information technology sector.
During the meeting, he answered questions raised by participants concerning the further development of the sector, the balanced foreign policy of the Armenian Government, the ideology of the "Real Armenia" and other topics.
Engineering City is a public-private partnership project implemented through the cooperation and support of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation, the Government of Armenia, the World Bank, the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, and the private sector.
The main goal of the program is to promote the development of high technologies in Armenia by creating an innovation ecosystem where companies in the engineering and high-tech sectors can develop and implement innovative ideas for local and international markets using modern infrastructure.
