“According to our election headquarters, over 70 percent of the votes are observed in favor of the Georgian Dream in all municipalities, including Tbilisi and large cities. We value such a high level of trust toward us by the people, and once again we promise that we will do our utmost to justify this trust,” said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
The PM commended the Georgian citizens for the high voter turnout observed in the October 4 elections.
“According to the Central Election Commission, approximately 1 million 200 thousand people have already voted in the elections, which is almost consistent with the activity indicators of the 2014 and 2017 elections. On behalf of the Georgian Dream election headquarters, I would like to extend my gratitude to each voter who cast their ballot.
Once again, I would like to urge voters to be active since each vote contributes to the peace and stable development of each municipality of our country. I am glad that elections are held in a peaceful environment. Voters are allowed to fix their choice peacefully, without pressure and in a free environment.
Based on the data of our election headquarters, the Georgian Dream decisively wins in mayoral and city assembly elections in all municipalities. Over 70 percent of the votes are observed in GD’s favor in all municipalities, including Tbilisi and large cities. We value such a high level of trust toward us by the people, and once again, we promise that we will do our utmost to justify this trust,” he said.
