Today, I signed an agreement with the EBRD, dedicated to improving customs procedures and addressing the needs of refugees and their host communities. This was announced by EU Enlargement Commissioner Marta Kos during a joint press conference with Armenia's Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
“We are ready to invest in key infrastructure projects in the areas of trade, energy and transport, in line with the goals of your Crossroads of Peace initiative.
We are also working effectively on developing an international, interregional connectivity agenda, connecting Europe with Central Asia and the South Caucasus through Turkey [with Central Asia], where Armenia is an indispensable player,” she said.
Summing up her speech, Kos stated: “Your commitment to resilience and peace is very important. The EU will continue to stand by you. Continue to trust us."
