The agreements reached during the high-level meetings in Washington and Brussels, including the initialing of the peace agreement and the trilateral declaration, provide us with new opportunities for unblocking infrastructure, advancing the Crossroads of Peace initiative and the TRIPP project. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan stated this during Friday’s joint news conference with the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, who is visiting Armenia.
“These initiatives are complementary and, in our opinion, are in line with the EU's Global Gateway strategy. In this regard, today we both underscored the EU’s assistance aimed at the sustainable development of the region. We also noted that one of the key components of bilateral relations is the visa liberalization process. We highlighted with satisfaction the progress made in this direction to date. I am confident that with our joint efforts, we will have tangible achievements,” said Grigoryan.
“Today, a high-level policy dialogue was launched between us. This is a new platform where we will jointly discuss the course of implementation of multisectoral budget support within the framework of the Resilience and Growth Plan approved by the EU in April 2024. I would like to thank Commissioner Kos and the delegation for the constructive and productive discussions. I am convinced that our discussions and agreements today will give new strength and momentum to our partnership,” Grigoryan said.
