On September 17, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mehdi Sobhani, held a farewell dinner on the occasion of the conclusion of the ambassador’s diplomatic mission. The information was shared by the Office of the Security Council.
Secretary Grigoryan expressed gratitude to Ambassador Sobhani for his work and highlighted that during his tenure, Armenia-Iran multifaceted relations reached a new level. He also congratulated the ambassador on being awarded the Medal of Friendship and wished him success in his future endeavors.
In turn, Ambassador Sobhani thanked the Secretary of the Security Council for the constructive cooperation, noting that he had made every effort within his capacity to advance bilateral relations between Iran and Armenia. The ambassador added that he is leaving Armenia with only warm memories.
The two also discussed matters of mutual interest between the two countries.
