Reuters. Poland's State Protection Service (SOP) has "neutralised" a drone operating over sensitive government locations, including Parkowa Street and the Belweder Palace, said Prime Minister Donald Tusk on X, amid heightened regional tensions following recent airspace violations.
Two Belarusian citizens were detained in connection with the incident and police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, Tusk added.
Poland shot down Russian drones last Wednesday (September 10) in the first known action of its kind by a member of the Western military alliance during Russia's war in Ukraine.
Days later, Romania scrambled jets when a Russian drone breached its airspace.
