Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited Expo 2025 in Osaka, within the framework of which an event dedicated to Armenia's National Day was held.
Accompanied by the organizers of the exhibition, the Prime Minister first toured the exhibition pavilions, then made a note in the guest book of honor. This was followed by a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, which was attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, members of the Armenian delegation, and Hisashi Matsumoto, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Japan for Foreign Affairs.
Prime Minister Pashinyan visited the Armenian pavilion of the exhibition. The Armenian pavilion, titled "Pillars of Today and Tomorrow," presents Armenia's leading innovative programs, cultural heritage, investment opportunities, and advanced educational initiatives. Those responsible noted that the number of visitors to the Armenian pavilion has exceeded one million since the start of the exhibition.
Then the opening ceremony of the event dedicated to Armenia's National Day was held. First, the national anthems of Armenia and Japan were performed, after which Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Deputy Commissioner-General of the World Expo Shigetoshi Ikeyama delivered speeches.
In his speech, Prime Minister Pashinyan, in particular, noted:

Distinguished guests, dear visitors,
I am delighted to welcome you here today at the event dedicated to the National Day of Armenia at the "EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan".
First and foremost, let me congratulate friendly Japan on successfully hosting one of the the world’s biggest events – the "EXPO 2025" in Osaka this year. I would also like to thank our Japanese colleagues for the generous support and warm welcome.
As you know, the World Expo has for over a century been an important platform for showcasing humanity’s latest achievements and innovations in various fields.
This is the fifth time that Armenia has become a part of this important event, and it is truly a great honor for us to take part in the World Expo here in Osaka, as it is a good opportunity to introduce one another to the developments and innovations across the economic, technological, healthcare, industrial, and many other sectors.
Dear friends,
We have come to Osaka to share the achievements of today’s Armenia, rooted in our rich history and culture, along with our vision for a peaceful and prosperous future based on economic and technological progress and the philosophy of innovative education.
In the Armenian pavilion, entitled "Pillars of Today and Tomorrow," the four pillars symbolize Armenia's "today" - history, culture, innovation and regional opportunities. The other four pillars, symbolizing the future of Armenia, showcase the philosophy of technological and innovative education, Armenia's vision for the future of learning and education, in the context of which Armenian future-oriented educational initiatives are presented: TUMO, COAF, Armat, along with new projects launched by Armenia: the “Academic City,” and the “Engineering City.”
In this regard, I am proud to note that on June 1 this year, the Gunma branch of the "TUMO" Center for Creative Technologies officially opened in Japan, and it will be accessible to 1,500 young people living in the prefectural communities. "TUMO"’s unique, proprietary educational model will be used to teach programming, animation, filmmaking, game development, 3D modeling, drawing, and motion graphics.

Participation in this biggest event held in Osaka provides an exceptional opportunity to showcase Armenia’s economic, cultural, technological, educational, and tourism attractiveness to not only the Japanese people but also the world, thereby creating new prospects for further development and deepening of cooperation in these sectors.
The pavilion also pays special attention to the implementation of Armenia’s future-oriented vision for peace, embedded in the “Crossroads of Peace”, which we see as a reality where countries live with open borders, are connected through active economic, political, and cultural ties, and are committed to resolving all issues through diplomacy and dialogue.
Once again, welcoming all those present, I would like to invite everyone to visit the Armenian pavilion to experience Armenia’s vision for a prosperous and peaceful future.
