The Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia and Georgia held political consultations in Yerevan, co-chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Lasha Darsalia.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the sides praised the ongoing deepening of the strategic partnership between the two countries and underlined the importance of high-level mutual visits and contacts.
The consultations covered bilateral economic cooperation, tourism, transport, energy, trade and investment, as well as the strengthening of cultural and educational ties, cooperation within international organizations and the expansion of the legal framework.
They exchanged views on regional peace and cooperation.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kostanyan briefed his counterpart on the outcomes of the August 8 meeting in Washington between the leaders of Armenia, the United States and Azerbaijan.
