We want peace and tranquility for our neighbors, especially for our neighboring state Armenia, and we believe that integration, as well as friendship factors, are the best factors for maintaining security and moving along the path of development. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said this during a joint statement with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“We have always defended the territorial integrity of Armenia, and this is our policy, and we are against the use of any force in the region. We believe that leadership in the region should be Caucasian, and transferring problems outside the region to extra-regional powers further complicates the situation in the region,” he said.
