On June 20, in Phnom Penh, Ambassador Suren Baghdasaryan met with Phen Savny, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
During the conversation, Ambassador Baghdasaryan emphasized the importance of enhancing political dialogue with Cambodia, expanding the bilateral legal framework, and pursuing mutual visa exemption between the two countries.
Referring to inter-parliamentary cooperation, the Armenian Ambassador noted that such engagement could also promote dialogue within the framework of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly.
Ambassador Baghdasaryan added that Armenia is ready to share its experience with Cambodia in the fields of innovation, high technologies, and digital transformation.
Phen Savny drew attention to the recent rapid development of Cambodia’s tourism and air transport sectors, highlighting their potential to boost mutual tourist flows with Armenia.
She also emphasized the efforts undertaken by the Cambodian government to improve the investment climate and invited Armenian business representatives to visit Cambodia to establish practical business ties.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing mutual support within international organizations.
