What has changed between Armenia and Turkey? At first glance, not very tangible, but in my opinion, something very significant. If a few years ago we needed to clarify Turkey's position on this or that issue, apart from public statements, and Turkey wanted to clarify Armenia's position, I think we should have tried to clarify it through third countries. Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community in Istanbul.
In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the fact that we have had direct communication with Turkey for quite a long time.
"I think this is a very essential and important condition that we can constantly be in communication, form agendas, have discussions," the Prime Minister noted, emphasizing that now our contacts with Turkey are very intensive, and this visit is a good opportunity for us to have the opportunity to fully present Armenia's positions and ideas about solutions to our Turkish partners.
According to him, the context of interstate relations is the basis of this visit.
"We are obliged to formulate these relations as Armenia-Turkey relations. I believe that this stage that has begun, and in which this visit is part, is a visit related to the agenda of Armenia-Turkey relations, and the visit is related to Armenia-Turkey relations," the Prime Minister said.
According to him, this is an agenda for establishing new relations.
