Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan hosted Valentina Matviyenko, Chair of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, who is on an official visit to Armenia.
Welcoming the delegation, Prime Minister Pashinyan addressed the current state of Armenia–Russia relations, emphasizing the importance of maintaining open and constructive dialogue between the two countries.
In response, Matviyenko expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed the Russian Federation’s readiness to continue cooperation with Armenia, grounded in mutual respect and longstanding friendship.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on various issues on the bilateral agenda, including interparliamentary engagement, economic cooperation, and cultural ties.
