A short while ago, a meeting took place between my Cypriot counterpart and I. We discussed numerous bilateral relations, and there was also a proposal from our side to raise the level of our cooperation to strategic partnership, and Ms. Demetriou responded positively to this proposal. We also discussed our cooperation on various international platforms. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan during a joint press conference with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Cyprus Annita Demetriou.
“My counterpart is one of the most prominent international friends of Armenia. I cannot hide the partnership that Ms. Demetriou is implementing on international platforms. I must say that on the platforms where my counterpart is represented, we have two microphones, that is, we are represented twice as much, for which we are very grateful to Ms. Demetriou and our friendly Cyprus. I must say that Armenia is also always by the side of Cyprus and the people of Cyprus,” he said.
