U.S. forces have carried out strikes on Iran for the third consecutive night. Military facilities in Bushehr, Chabahar, Bandar Abbas, and several other cities were targeted.
The U.S. Central Command said the strikes are intended to weaken Iran's capability to attack civilian vessels. Iran, in turn, announced that it had struck U.S. air bases in Jordan and Bahrain.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had destroyed the radar of a Patriot air defense system, the air surveillance radar of the U.S. Fifth Fleet, and an early warning radar system in Bahrain. According to the UAE Ministry of Defense, Iranian missiles also struck the Mombasa and Al Bahya tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. One person was reported killed and three others injured. Iranian authorities claimed the tankers had violated Tehran's ban on transiting the strait.
