Direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine are due to begin on Thursday, 15 May, at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul. According to ITAR TASS Russia press agency, the meeting should start at around 7 AM GMT, but the Ukrainian side dismissed that schedule soon after the announcement. No top senior Russian officials are expected to take part in the encounter.
