President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on Donald Trump's statement that Crimea will remain part of Russia.
"We cannot give or not give something. It is the property of the Ukrainians. For us, Crimea will remain a temporarily occupied territory," the Ukrainian President stressed.
Zelensky noted that his administration cannot violate the country's Constitution. At the same time, he admitted that Ukraine currently does not have enough weapons to return Crimea by force.
"Discussions on territorial issues should take place only after a complete ceasefire. To achieve this, the world has sanctions, economic and diplomatic pressure on Russia," Zelensky added.
According to him, Ukraine is ready for negotiations in any format and at any time. The President also reported that important meetings are planned in the near future that could contribute to a ceasefire.
