Meeting of Foreign Minister of Armenia with Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Montenegro

On March 31, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Montenegro Filip Ivanović.
 
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the dynamic political dialogue between Armenia and Montenegro in recent years, as well as with the joint efforts made to expand cooperation in specific areas. In particular the joint activities towards expanding the legal framework, significantly increasing flows in the tourism sector, and advancing the cooperation in the fields of IT and innovative education were emphasized.
 
Ararat Mirzoyan and Filip Ivanović discussed concrete opportunities for developing economic and trade cooperation, highlighting the importance of outlining a tailor-made “roadmap” for companies operating in both countries as a practical priority.
 
Noting the symbolic significance of the fact that Podgorica was the first city with which Yerevan signed a cooperation agreement, the ministers underscored the importance of continuing effective cooperation in this format.
 
The Foreign Minister of Armenia and the Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Montenegro also exchanged views on cooperation with the European Union. The Foreign Minister of Armenia presented the progress achieved in Armenia-EU relations in recent years, emphasizing the exchange of best practices in implementing reforms aimed at deepening cooperation with the EU.
 
The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional developments. Minister Mirzoyan reiterated Armenia’s clear position on signing the peace treaty with Azerbaijan, stressing that if this position is reciprocated, it will be possible to reach an important milestone.
