We no longer disagree on the text of the peace treaty. Another thing: you know that sometimes the Azerbaijani side tries to include other preconditions or other problems in the general negotiation process. Our approach is that we can sign the already agreed text as soon as possible. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this at a joint press conference with Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Xavier Bettel.
"Of course, it is not possible to settle all issues with one text, one treaty. The rest will be left for further negotiations if both parties are interested," Ararat Mirzoyan said.
Answering the journalist's question whether there is a different principle in the regulations signed between the border delimitation commissions than the declaration of Alma Ata, Ararat Mirzoyan said:
“It says that the foundation is the Declaration of Alma Atta. If a different principle is enshrined in the peace treaty, we will change accordingly. No other principle is discussed. What you meant and asked for is in the text, in the agreed section. I don't want to go ahead and reveal individual details, although it's not really a big secret. We have no secrets from society and no unpleasant surprises, but this principle is not being discussed at this moment."
The Foreign Minister noted that the draft peace treaty has 16 articles, of which 13 are fully agreed, 3 are partially agreed.
