Erdogan is considering option of inviting Putin and Assad to Turkey to normalize relations between Ankara and Damascus

Recep Erdogan announced that he is considering the option of inviting Russian and Syrian presidents Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad to Turkey to discuss the settlement of relations between Ankara and Damascus and the Syrian settlement.

"We can start a new settlement process with Syria. If Mr. Putin can visit Turkey, it can be the beginning of a new process. The past years have shown that it is necessary to create a permanent settlement mechanism for Syria. It is extremely important that Syria, whose infrastructure is destroyed and whose population is scattered, stands up, it is important to put an end to instability," said the head of Turkey.

He emphasized the destruction of all terrorist organizations on the territory of Syria.

Erdogan also noted that Turkey is "always ready to extend a helping hand to Syria and support it".
