The official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan to the UAE was marked by the signing of the Protocol on the mutual exemption of visa requirements for citizens of the Republic of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates, the post on the Armenian Foreign Ministry's Facebook page reads.
Until now, the visa liberalization regime was valid only for persons holding diplomatic passports, and according to the mentioned protocol, the requirement of exemption also applies to citizens with ordinary passports.
The Protocol will enter into force after both countries complete all domestic procedures necessary for its entry into force.
