Children are waiting for their parents. Families are unable to reunite as a result of the Lachin Corridor blockade

The parents of 6-year-old Edward traveled from Stepanakert to Yerevan  on December 13, his father was undergoing a post-operative examination. As a result of the Lachin siege, they continue to stay in Armenia. And the grandparents take care of the child.

Zoya Barseghyan (Resident of Stepanakert) - We are trying to replace the parents, but of course it is not possible, especially since he is very close to his father. He thinks he is already a man, he is older, he does not obey us much.

Mrs. Zoya half-jokingly, half-seriously notes that they are keeping a child with their in-laws. The do homework, take the child to the scholl, hoping that the opening of the road to life will not be too late.

Zoya Barseghyan - He likes to ride a bicycle outside, drive a car, we provide the rest.

As a result of the Azerbaijani provocation, the children left without parental care are in the focus of the Artsakh government. Social workers provide food, basic necessities and psychological care. Grandmother  Nurvard came from Martakert to stay with her grandchildren.

Nurvard Movsisyan (Resident of Martakert) - Every child needs their parents, regardless of age. I can't replace a parent, but I want to help Juliet to keep Mariam as much as I can.

Mariam and Julieta's parents took their sister to a doctor in Yerevan. They came, they stayed in Goris, they are waiting for the opening of the Stepanakert-Goris road. Two-year-old Mariam has high temperature longing her parents, she talks to them several times a day.

Julieta Karapetyan (Resident of Stepanakert) - My classes are completely disrupted, in these 10-15 days I managed to go to the university only twice, because she can't stay without me, and she is very stubborn when she stays. It's natural, she's a child, she's connected, and at the moment I'm closer to her than her grandmother.

In the current situation, 120,000 residents of Artsakh, 30,000 of whom are children, are facing a humanitarian crisis. As a result of blocking the road, 1100 citizens cannot return home, 270 of them are minors.
