During the online press conference with the media and NGOs, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan referred to the 3 + 3 format, emphasizing that there is an important nuance for us in this regard.
“The subtlety is that in the 3 + 3 format it is very important for us that we will not discuss the issues in 3 + 3 for which there are already created formats. For example, the settlement of the Karabakh issue, for which there is a Minsk Group co-chairing format, we do not discuss this issue in 3 + 3, we have a trilateral commission for the opening of regional communications, this issue should not be discussed in 3 + 3. Those issues should be discussed which have contextual significance and do not repeat agendas already existing in other formats. Is it possible to find such questions, to formulate, we will live and see,” he said.
The Prime Minister reminded that the Government's program clearly states that a special place will be given to regional policy.
“Our relations within the EEU, with Russia, the CSTO, the EU and the United States are very important for us, however, we want to pursue a more active regional policy. Our relations with Georgia are also very important. If we see that there is an opportunity to intensify our relations, to set a positive agenda, maybe we should discuss that opportunity. This is our position at the moment. The future will be seen in the future,” said the Prime Minister.
