On October 21, Armenian President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan met with Igor Zorcic, the President of the Slovenian Parliament.
Alen Simonyan valued the friendly relationships with Slovenia, the efficient cooperation of the legislatures of the two countries. In this context, the interlocutors stressed the necessity to deepen the cooperation, which will be benefited by the close cooperation of the friendly groups being formulated in parliaments.
Alen Simonyan highly appreciated the balanced approach of Slovenia in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which supports the activity of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the general position of the EU.
The President of the NA thanked the Slovenian side for the offer to provide a humanitarian aid to the Armenian soldiers with fracture severe injury during the Karabakh war.
The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation in the framework of international organizations and European structures.
Armenian NA President invited the President of the Slovenian Parliament to come to Armenia with an official visit.
