At today’s session, the executive approved the proposals of a number of companies to use the privilege of exemption from customs duties within the framework of the investment program implemented in the priority sphere.
‘Kapavor’ LLC will use the imported goods for asphalt production (implementation of road construction works). It is envisaged to invest AMD 380.6 million (about $ 713 thousand) within the framework of the program to purchase equipment. There are currently about 312 jobs. As a result, 10-15 new jobs will be created with an average salary of AMD 180,000-220,000 ($337-$412). The total product volume envisaged by the program will make AMD 1.5-2 billion ($2,809,000 - $3,745,000), which will be fully sold in the territory of the Republic of Armenia and Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). The value of the goods submitted for receiving the privilege is AMD 380.6 million (about $ 713,000). The exemption from customs duty is AMD 19 million ($35,580).
ML Mining Company, founded in 2003 is engaged in mining in the Armenia’s Kotayk province. It has already invested about AMD 8 billion (about $15 million), it will invest additional AMD 4 billion (about $7.5 million) within the framework of the program. Currently there are about 320 jobs, 40-60 jobs will be created with an average salary of AMD 200,000-300,000 ($375-$562). The total volume of products envisaged by the program will make AMD 200 million (about $376,000) for a year, which will be fully sold in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The value of the goods submitted for the privilege is AMD 3.6 billion (about $6,742,000). The exemption from customs duties amounts to AMD 311 million (over $582,000).
Rock Berry Company will use the imported goods for the construction of strawberry production greenhouses in the three-hectare production area (Kotayk province). According to the decision in 2018, the company received a privilege of exemption from customs duties, within the framework of which it invested AMD 3 billion (about $5,618,000) and created 149 jobs. Within the framework of the program, it is planned to make an annual investment of AMD 2.6 billion (about $4 million 869 thousand). Within the framework of the investment program, it is planned to create 70 new jobs with an average salary of AMD 200,000 ($375). The annual volume of products envisaged by the program will make AMD 1.5 billion (about $ 2 million 809 thousand) for a year, of which AMD 76.2 million (about $142.700) will be sold in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and AMD 1.4 billion (about $2 million 622 thousand) in the territory of other EEU member states. The value of the goods submitted for the privilege is AMD 1.7 billion (about $3,184,000). The exemption from customs duty is AMD 87.7 million ($164,232).
Betonagorts CJSC will use the imported goods for the production of metal-plastic windows, doors, window sills, window frames (Yerevan). It is planned to invest AMD 2.2 billion (about 4,120,000). Currently there are about 13 jobs, 4-6 jobs will be created with an average salary of AMD 150,000-200,000 ($281-$375). The total volume of products envisaged by the program will make AMD 3.1 billion (more than $5,805,000), which will be sold in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. The value of the goods submitted for the privilege is 2.2 billion (about $4 million 120 thousand). The exemption from customs duty is AMD 149.4 million (about $279,775).
