The head of the medical service of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, lieutenant colonel of the medical service Oleg Bagayev congratulated the specialists of the special medical detachment on the occasion of the New Year. The website of the RF Ministry of Defense reports this.
On behalf of the Peacekeeping Forces of the Russian Federation, Oleg Bagayev presented Christmas presents to the field hospital doctors, nurses and medical staff.
It is noted that Russian military doctors have so far provided assistance to 1,044 residents of Nagorno Karabakh, including 131 children.
The special medical detachment includes doctors of different specialties, as well as specialists providing psychological services to the population of remote villages.
More than 60 specialists work in the subdivisions of that detachment, including military surgeons, anesthesiologists-resuscitators, therapists, epidemiologists.
