On November 30, the RA Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan received the Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.
Ambassador Kopirkin congratulated Vagharshak Harutyunyan on assuming the post of Minister of Defense. During the meeting the parties highly assessed the dynamics of the Armenian-Russian allied cooperation and political dialogue.
The RA Minister of Defense attached special importance to the role and efforts of Russia within the framework of the implementation of the provisions of the statement signed between Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan on November 10, aimed at stabilizing the military-political situation in the region, and the effectiveness of the peacekeeping mission in Artsakh.
The parties also considered important the work of the Russian interdepartmental humanitarian center established in the Nagorno Karabakh territory, aimed at the return of refugees, the restoration of civilian infrastructure, the search for bodies, captives and missing persons and the coordination of activities of various humanitarian organizations.
