"We call on Azerbaijan, Turkey to refrain from thwarting efforts to establish a controllable ceasefire. RA MFA

Today, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry issued a manipulative statement in an attempt to present the position of Azerbaijan and Turkey, which reject the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as an approach of the Armenian side.

The military aggression carried out by Azerbaijan against the people of Artsakh with the direct involvement of Turkey and its sponsored terrorists is aimed at the annihilation of the indigenous people of Artsakh and has been accompanied by numerous violations of international humanitarian law and war crimes since the first day. These actions make it imperative to ensure the full security of the people of Artsakh.

Armenia consistently supports the unconditional implementation of the ceasefire agreements agreed through the statements of October 10 and 17 through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.

Constantly standing on the position of excluding the military settlement of the conflict, we emphasize once again that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be settled exclusively by peaceful means, within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs format, which has an international mandate for that.

We call on Azerbaijan and its sponsor Turkey to renounce the actions, aiming at thwarting the efforts if international community to establish a controllable ceasefire regime, also renounce their traditional policy of blaming the Armenian side", the RA MFA statement reads.
