Today the RA President Armen Sargsyan had a telephone conversation with Latvian President Egils Levits. The Presidents of Armenia and Latvia exchanged information on the situation in the two countries in connection with the coronavirus epidemic, countries' experiences in preventing and overcoming the infection.
The President Sargsyan praiced Latvia's support for the Armenia-EU partnership, emphasizing the new opportunities for cooperation within the framework of the EU's Eastern Partnership. The President also praised the fact that Latvia is one of the first EU countries to ratify the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union.
Speaking about the prospects of Armenian-Latvian cooperation, the Presidents stressed that two countries have a serious potential for cooperation. President Levits emphasizes Latvian interest in IT development programs in Armenia.
The President of Armenia invited the President of Latvia to visit Armenia at an opportune time, an invitation was gladly accepted.
