As Konstantin Zatulin, Head of the Institute of Diaspora Studies and Integration, RF, informed “Noyan Tapan” newspaper correspondent, Azerbaijan is driving itself to a dead-end with its bellicose rhetoric and military preparedness. In addition to the lack of confidence between conflicting parties, there is still another target of distrust: OSCE Minsk Group (with Russian, USA and France as co-chairs) also lacks full confidence. “It seems like these countries share close positions in regard to Karabagh issue, because there are against military solution.” In the meanwhile, Azerbaijan continues announcing its readiness to settle the conflict through military intervention. Yet it is obvious, that given Baku’s current economic state, it is facing an oil and gas crisis. Putting everything at stake in order to unleash a large scale military operation is similar to a suicide, affecting Azerbaijani political regime as well,” Zatulin said.
