Russian President Vladimir Putin and the U.S. President Donald Trump held phone call on Tuesday, Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said.
The conversation focused on the settlement of the Ukraine conflict, he said. Putin and Trump exchanged views on the recent visits of Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kiev. The results of the visits were positively assessed by both leaders. The call was constructive, frank and held in a positive atmosphere. Putin stressed that Russia has no aggressive plans toward Europe. Putin supported Trump’s intention to build constructive Russia-US relations. The two leaders agreed to remain in contact and hold further calls when necessary.
