On August 25, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan met with the Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia Alexander Vinnikov.
Welcoming the guest, Sargis Khandanyan emphasized the importance of close Armenia-NATO relations and spoke about the great potential for expanding cooperation.
At the guest’s request, the Committee Chair presented the current security situation in the region and touched upon the latest developments in the process of normalizing Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
Alexander Vinnikov congratulated Sargis Khandanyan on being elected the Chair of the Committee in the newly elected Parliament. The Head of the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia spoke about the deepening of NATO-Armenia cooperation, highly appreciating Armenia’s participation in the peacekeeping mission implemented as part of the Kosovo Force.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the agenda of the RA-NATO partnership.
