The President of Azerbaijan received the newly appointed Ambassador of Great Britain. Duncan Norman welcomed the efforts to establish peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the progress achieved.
He also noted that work on a new strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Great Britain continues. The Ambassador emphasized that this, among other things, will allow strengthening contacts in the security, defense, innovation, energy and other areas.
Ilham Aliyev, in turn, noted that for the past year, Azerbaijan has been living in an atmosphere of peace, which, according to Aliyev, is a significant change for the region. According to him, security is one of the priorities of Baku's agenda.
Aliyev added that the bilateral agenda with London is also of great importance for regional development and cooperation.
