Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met on Tuesday with Abraham Hamadeh, a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona’s 8th Congressional District and a member of the House Armed Services Committee.
According to the ministry’s readout, the Foreign Minister and the U.S. Congressman emphasized the historic significance of the August 8, 2025, Washington Peace Summit in establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as in realizing the region’s development potential. They also discussed efforts aimed at further institutionalizing peace and stressed the importance of addressing humanitarian issues.
The sides lauded the unprecedented momentum in the development of the Armenia–U.S. comprehensive strategic partnership, which is reflected in tangible results of cooperation across various fields. In this context, among a number of other mutually beneficial initiatives, they highlighted the establishment of Firebird AI’s data center in Armenia.
The sides also discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation.
Mirzoyan and Hamadeh also exchanged views on regional developments.
