Reuters. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Thursday (January 18) confirmed defence ministers agreed to a reboot of the military alliance after the United States announced a new review of America's troop deployments in Europe.
Rutte reiterated that the bloc needs to quickly turn billions of dollars of investment into combat ready capabilities to bolster its industrial base against any threats.
"It is prudent to ensure NATO forces are optimally arrayed to deter conflict and, if necessary, to defend against any threat," he said.
