Russian President Vladimir Putin has commented on a letter addressed to him by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in which the Ukrainian president proposes organizing a bilateral meeting to stop the war.
The Russian president described Zelenskyy’s tone as rude and stated that he still sees no point in such a meeting. The Kremlin leader advised Zelenskyy to call elections, which are not being held in Ukraine due to martial law.
He also accused Kyiv of allegedly rejecting Washington’s guarantees. Putin emphasized that the main issues should be resolved between Russia and Ukraine, while other countries should act as guarantors.
According to Putin, the war will end at some point, and this will happen when Russia achieves its objectives.
“We will seek the denazification of Ukraine,” the Russian president added.
