Romanian President Nicușor Dan has stated that the drone that fell on the roof of a multi-story residential building in the city of Galați was Russian. According to him, it was completely identical to another device that had fallen on Romanian territory several weeks earlier and had not exploded.
The president expressed the view that during attacks on western Ukraine, Russian unmanned aerial vehicles entered Romanian airspace after being affected by Ukrainian air defense systems.
This version had earlier been questioned by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who stated that an expert examination was necessary before drawing such conclusions.
