On April 25 and 26, events marking the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place in the cities of Arnouville, Le Raincy, Meudon, and Chaville. On April 26, an official ceremony dedicated to the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held in Arnouville. Speeches were delivered during the event by the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to France, Arman Khachatryan, the Mayor of Arnouville, Pascal Doll, and Deputy Mayor Christophe Altounian. Representatives of the clergy and numerous guests were also in attendance. At the end of the ceremony, participants laid wreaths in memory of the martyred victims. This was reported by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to France.
On April 25, a commemoration ceremony was held in the courtyard of the Armenian educational institution “Dprotsaser” in Le Raincy, in front of a khachkar (cross-stone) installed there. Speeches were delivered by Mayor Nicolas Randpierre, Counselor of the Armenian Embassy to France Gayane Manukyan, and Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of “Dprotsaser” Aghavni Sarikayan. Mayor of Livry-Gargan Pierre-Yves Martin, as well as members of the regional council of Île-de-France and the municipal councils of Pavillons-sous-Bois and Gagny, also took part in the wreath-laying ceremony.
On April 25, a wreath-laying ceremony took place in the central square of Meudon, attended by numerous representatives of French-Armenian organizations and the local Armenian community. Remarks were delivered by First Secretary of the Armenian Embassy to France Sergey Voskanyan, Mayor of Meudon Denis Largheron, and President of the Association of Armenian Veterans Who Fought for France Leon Hovnanian.
On April 25, a tribute ceremony was held in Charles Aznavour Square in Chaville, near the monument dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Speeches were delivered and wreaths were laid by Mayor Thierry Bezonson, Third Secretary of the Embassy Lilit Antonyan, President of ANACRA Leon Hovnanian, and representatives of Armenian associations. Wreaths were also laid at the monument by representatives of the President of the Île-de-France region, members of the councils of Chaville and neighboring cities, as well as representatives of the clergy.
