Reuters. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday (April 7) that Israel had targeted railway lines and bridges in Iran.
“Today, our pilots attacked the train tracks and bridges used by the Revolutionary Guards,” Netanyahu said in a statement released by his office.
Netanyahu said the strikes were approved together with Defence Minister Israel Katz and were aimed at weakening what he described as the Iranian “terrorist regime,” rather than the Iranian people.
The comments came after Israel warned Iranians in a Persian-language social media post that anyone near railways would be in danger.
