Iran is ready to halt hostilities if it receives guarantees from the United States and Israel that it will not attack in the future, President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a phone conversation with European Council President António Costa, EFE reported.
"We have a constant desire to stop this war, but on the condition that there are the necessary guarantees that any aggression will not be repeated," he said.
"European countries must change their destructive approach towards Iran to a policy based on international law and constructive, professional cooperation," the Iranian President said.
He reiterated that the Iranians are attacking neighboring countries only because their territories are being used to attack Iran, and the authorities of those countries are not fulfilling their obligations to prevent such actions.
